Backwards would suggest the US threatened to annex Canada. It has not. That's nonsense Trudeau and Carney have stated to try to play the victim. We said Canada is so dependent on the US for it's economy, that they should join us as a new state. And considering Carney and Trudeau have twisted that to try to play victim shows they have no interest in any kind of serious trade with the United States, so they can just continue to suffer under tariffs. Not our problem Canada can't cope with the cold hard fact that they are dependent on us.
About half of Canadian businesses have expressed an interest in moving to the US to avoid tariffs, 40% say their businesses won't survive them. Better leadership in Canada would have considered their position more carefully before starting ♥♥♥♥ with the ones who keep them afloat.
Canada made this bed of theirs, they can either sleep in it, or get some actual leadership and not just another globalist puppet like Trudeau.
In the mean time, car companies will continue to build in the US, including Asian markets seeing Canada as too problematic as the US is overwhelming their interest in North American markets. Not our problem.
No, it hasn't. Canada has started using tariffs and trade barriers against the US since Trudeau got into power. Nearly 10 years for now, it's what prompted the US to take measures to protect it's own markets, which we have every right to do. Don't like it? Complain to Trudeau about it... oh, wait, y'all just went and put Trudeau 2.0 in power as if that'll make things better.
Like I said. Y'all made your own bed.
