i can keep up with a mate on his uber light titanium racer on my ebike which is limited and we regularly hit 30mph.
An ebike would greatly benefit my daily commute because I walk to work, but I don't want to be like the bike people. I seethe every time I'm forced to step aside to let one by on the sidewalk.
I ought to be able to just swing a baseball bat when they go by.
The thought of riding a bike fills be with disgust. The real problem is that cars aren't affordable and they should be.
One would be 15.5 mph (25 km/h). Counts as bike. So no driving licence, and can use bike lanes.
The other would be 28 mph (45km/h - which is super odd, because the usual limit in cities is 50). Doesn´t count as bike, needs a driving licence, can´t use bike lanes, also needs a licence plate.
But of course You could also ride a normal racing bike without engine, with like 37 mph (60 km/h) or however fast You can drive. There is no limits for bikes, like the limits are for vehicles with engines. While there are vague rules of thumb - but i know nobody who ever got problems with driving too fast with a bike.
