Necroposting
Have you ever had the forum engine sort messages incorrectly, causing old messages written over a year ago to appear on the first page?

Yesterday, I didn't notice this, replied to an old post, and received a warning from the Steam system.

How common is this?

The funny thing is, I noticed it later and deleted my message.

But I still received a warning/reassurance from Steam.

It's kind of weird. ;)
A deleted post would still be in the system. Remember that everything you post belongs to steam. And once a thread makes it over 7 post you cannot delete that topic. Wanna try editing it out? Nice try but I’ve already “quoted” what you said before the edit. 2 steps ahead of you.

I just wanted to clarify.
You responded very quickly. ;)

I have my moments. Haha.

When I don't like into steam for a few days, and then log back in, that happens to me all the time. I start responding to messages for months, or even years ago. It's just another Steam flaw.

I thought it might be helpful to clear the cache.

From your Steam Client, open the Settings panel by selecting "Steam > Settings" from the top-left client menu.
In the Settings panel, select the Downloads tab and you'll find the "Clear Download Cache" button at the bottom.
Then select "Confirm" to acknowledge this will clear your download cache and that you'll need to log in to Steam again.

Since forum messages are displayed in the browser built into the Steam client engine, it would be a good idea to clear the browser cache as well.
