If you enjoy video games and you're even entertaining the idea of dating someone who is philosophically opposed to them, that's a you problem.

having similar hobbies is not necessarily a requirement for a good relationship, but it usually makes it a lot easier to become closer to one another. however actively hating your partners hobbies seems like a relationship doomed to fail.
