Your source link is msn, so I already distrust any 'news' that might be in there, but I'll look at it anyway. The administration has zero reason to fake any numbers since its doing the job we elected them to do. The claim just doesn't make sense. I'll respond more after reading this so-called article.

In the middle of said article the main pull quote seems to be some definitional quibble over the use of 'some' vs 'many'. The stuff that brings migraines to non-lawyers.

Having around 20 to 30 troops instead of 115 shows restraint and a proportional response I guess... but this doesn't seem to be a sticking point, just that it wasn't ever 115 in Portland. Given that this doesn't seem to show any heavy handedness by the administration(they could have sent much more than 115) I don't see what the deal is.

Also there's so many stays and counterstays with different due dates I can't really follow if there is a current stay and when it ends. If there's no current stay order the guards could go in right now. This article is a little muddy on whats currently in effect.

Yes, however it doesn't show a drastic emergency requiring the national guard to be mobilized. When you claim you had to deploy 115 troops to keep the peace and later it comes out you actually only had to deploy 25% of that number it doesn't look good.

Thats why it was unanimously rejected by his own judges once they realized the government submitted false claims as their justification.

I just can't ever recall a court ruling, then the same court reversing their own ruling less then a week later when they realized the evidence was faked. That's what is intresting to me.

Could be considered contempt of court to knowingly present false evidence.

I mean lawyers have been stripped of their right to practice law for less, and they could face jail time for making false statements.

Now we need to investigate the government to find out what else they are lying about.

I mean don't be surprised to see this case be used to challenge any claim the government makes that isn't backed up by evidence now. The courts typically would trust the word of the Government, but that is happening less and less as they keep catching them lying.

Maybe we should recount the votes because they probably lied about those numbers too

There must be a way for the American people to call bs on the court and review their nonsense(in general). The issue would seem to be state level vs federal anyway. You'd have to have a federal level injunction for it to have any real meaning.
