They know habitual doom scrollers will click that ♥♥♥♥. So every video of there's just gets more and more outlandish and dramatic. Likewise their viewers follow suit of the media they consume, and they too become more and more outlandish and dramatic with their claims. Right up to the point they start shooting political figures because of all the fear porn they've consumed.
