to the one who posted about not being able to find friends in late 20s/early 30s (aka after college)
the normal way is have an activity you enjoy and do at least once a week..

**that can be church is your a believer (but joining prayergroups or volenteer teens or such in a church is even better as just sitting in church and going home with no interaction will ofcourse not work)

**joining a club.. for a teamsport, (ice)hockey, baseball, anything really... and even golf tennis, sailing and such and such havve you play against others and has generally interaction.

not sport? well anything else than..
go join a band (many amateur music clubs).. become a volenteer troop leader for boyscots, chessclubs, trade evenings for collectable cards.. anything goes.. just pick something you like that has people meeting regulairly so you can attend and meet people..

still nothing? ok so no culture, no volentering, no hobbies and no sport?
-> how about traveling... many travel agencies offer single travels or group travels.. spending a week or two with such people is a great way to get to know eachother and more than often friendships flow from it..

than there are pubs and bars.. some are terrible places to meet people (just loud music and boose where people look for a one night stand nothing lasting) but places with a calmer atmosphere where somebody does live music.. where you have more the student and artist kind of crowd.. and where people enjoy talking philosphy, science, politics.. well that sure can be a place to meet people..

still nothing?.. you just want somebody to watch movies with.. play some games.. share a meal.. not having to leave the house... nor make big expenses...just have somebody to talk to and hangf with.. not change your life..

**thats a tough.. people not just magically grow on your sofa..
but here I say your best bet is internet.. these people likely are active on social media.. (not dating sites) just stuff like here where you talk cause you like games...
--there might be people near you of your agerange just luring here just like you wanting a buddy..
**and alternatively there are social apps where you can post activies and others can join in.. it can be as simple as looking somebody who wants to watch a movie.. those are not for dating those apps are ment for people just looking for people near them to do things with.. cause like you they not like going to the movies alone or want to share a meal together not having to cook and eat alone every day or just have a weakly walk or go to the gym together cause it sucks to do things alone..

if you denounce apps even those social activity apps.,, as well as normal social websites like steam and discord groups.. and fora for stuff you may geek about..

events? you may not want to socialise often.. but comicon, gamecon.. star trek conventions, larping/reenactment.. it does not take every weak just going once may allow you to meet people who like what you like.. it can be as simple as just going a weekend to a lanparty..
most those have "find friends" corners especially for this purpose.. which are again NOT just for people wanting to get a relation.

if not that.. I see one last option.. the board at the supermarketm, city hall, library, or newspaper.. or if your really desperate just glue it on every pole and fence in your neighbourhood like people do when they lost their cat.,.

a simple handwritten or printed note.. looking for friends to hang out with
-and something like :
I am a dude of late 20s. who recently moved here, I know nobody and while I have my work and life I feel often quite lonely.
do not look for sex or relations, just some mates to hang around with..
phone number below..

it can never hurt..

I can find friends IRL easily, I tend to unfriend them once they show their true colors. Then they get all mad when I find out they were just "pretending" all along.

I am much happier in my house alone than with a bunch of miserable people.
