WARNING: Back up your data.
It's a shame it had to come to this, but I have no choice. I am going to be going around random houses across the world installing GNU/Linux onto every machine I see that has the audacity to run a different OS. The people deserve better.

I will be doing a clean format, your data is your responsibility, you'll wake up super happy knowing your PC now has a superior future proof OS installed on it. I will deliver you from the evil that is Microsoft. No need to thank me.

Macbook users, you are also eligible for the free upgrade. I'll find a way to put Linux on it (Asahi Linux) despite the fact that it's highly unstable and experimental.

You're welcome everybody, ho ho ho! Merry Tuxmas!

You'll find out when I've installed it, in amazement, joy, excitement, horn

You have a choice. You can choose to not give a crap what OS anyone else uses.
What if I like the evil of Microsoft? :PriscilaSalamander:

Why bother getting Linux when everyone is using Windows for work?

You're running from the problem instead of fixing it. Make a better OS than Windows and Linux.
The Win 11 requirements are really frustrating. I have a perfectly good laptop from 2019 that doesn't have TPM 2.0 and isn't eligible for an upgrade despite the machine being able to do everything I need it to at a high level.

I might actually shift to Linux on my personal PC which is Win 11 compliant, but I unfortunately have to use Windows on my machines for work.

-I think you should worry more about yourself and less about everyone else.
Linux is sexist against cisgender women

its really easy to get around, but then I'm left wondering why I would want to. Do you want an OS that takes constant screenshots? Do you trust microsoft to protect the insane amounts of data they will be gathering from you?

No, and that's my other major issue. The telemetry stuff was annoying in Win 10 as well, but at least most of it could be disabled. Why Win 11 needs to include that level of data harvesting is absurd. I'm honestly shocked that it isn't considered outright illegal.

Almost none of it is legitimately needed for operation of the OS. It's simply so MS has an additional revenue stream in selling data to advertisers. We take on added security risks for something that provides zero benefit.

I'd hate to be that guy, distributing $1,500+ Macs to everyone?
