you have to upload images not taken in game as art in your profile and link from it

Sorry folks this was not a question really, I just wish there was a «preview» like on most BBCode-based forums.

I was looking for a general-purpose solution, since my usecase is conversion to steam's bbcode, but thanks anyway. Looking at https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2807121939 it was likely possible to embed external images via [img] and [previewimg]

they dont want to moderate the hellhole that this place would be if they allowed embedded images from external sites

as already said you have to uploaded them to steam 1st. so if they break the rules they can deal with it locally.
