It is a Republic of Laws

Yes - and it gets exhausting to tell what each term means and that every democracy is a republic, and an example for a republic, which isn´t a democracy would be China.
"A Constitutional Republic. . . .if you can keep it" - Benjamin "$$$" Franklin
A constitutional republic. Unfortunately, the government doesn't seem to care about the constitution these days.

Either side. I'm beginning to think it is time for those who are wise to this to start making Constitutional enclaves.
Republic is about who the head of the state is. Some guy who gets elected for a time. As opposed to Monarchy, in which the Monarchs inherit the title.

Democracy is about how to get there. Like all the people can vote, or can get elected...

Several founders even made quotes, published papers, or said in speeches how bad they thought a democracy was, and it's why they didn't create one. They wouldn't have specifically called out democracy, then create a constitutional republic if they were the same thing. Maybe they just knew more about the structuring of government than you do?

Obviously not or we wouldn't be in this mess

Ah the uneducated or Ivano Botnik's are at it again. Tell me what is a constitutional republic? Oh that's right a form of democracy.
in my own personal opinion, the founding fathers left us with a perfect system, the Democrat party polluted it.

I posted in the other thread a number of quotes from several founding fathers talking ♥♥♥♥ about democracy. They understood the difference. Why are you unable to? And a constitutional republic is why you don't get a popular vote.
America isn't a Republic.

It's an Olicharchy that dressed well
The USA Pledge of Allegiance: " and to the Republic for which it stands: one Nation under God, indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all."

and of course no matter which way a system leans, there will be opposition.

No, U.S. is more like a Banana Republic now. Trump isn't obeying the Constitution.

Republic, aka, "Res Publica" roughly means Public Resources or "Common Wealth" in latin.

Which is why some of the states are called Commonwealths.
