Democracy is about how to get there. Like all the people can vote, or can get elected...
Several founders even made quotes, published papers, or said in speeches how bad they thought a democracy was, and it's why they didn't create one. They wouldn't have specifically called out democracy, then create a constitutional republic if they were the same thing. Maybe they just knew more about the structuring of government than you do?
I posted in the other thread a number of quotes from several founding fathers talking ♥♥♥♥ about democracy. They understood the difference. Why are you unable to? And a constitutional republic is why you don't get a popular vote.
