League of legends
GTA 3.
It just feels a permanent grind to be beaten down.

FF7
How much does Cloud have to suffer?

Tenchu
Rikimaruuuuu!

Soul Reaver
Raziel is in a permanent state of suffering.

Mordheim
You know I am going to plug this everywhere.
Those injuries really add up.

Way of The Samurai
It is literally the Way of the Samurai.

I've only played mordheim out of those, but I usually end up with some people with one arm and one eye.

Resident Evil 7, but it's immediately undone every time. I guess this is supposed to be scary? The game hits this note a lot, but I don't get it. I'm responding to the people trying to normalize this more than anything.

Eternal Darkness. I don't think any of the characters have happy endings.

This is kind of the point of Heavy Rain. It's seemingly the only point.

I think the worst thing that happened to me in a game was when my World of Warcraft main character fell through the map, and then spent several days falling underneath Durotar.

He ended up in back at Razor Hill after the weekly reset.

Yes, I enjoy RE7 especially when Mia kills me with a chainsaw in my stomach.

I fell off the map before but I ended up at a spirit healer after a couple of minutes of random weirdness. It didn't take several days at least.

Bad things, and worse things.
I played this a lot in EA but I don't know if they added much since then to make it worth getting into again.

I guess in Daimon Blades you are slowly but surely turning into a demon.

Although, to be fair, killing demonic sacrifices just to appease your sword isn't as bad as it looks. The demonic parasites that have rendered the flesh a puppet is the one screaming and dying; the person is long gone save for the ethereal screams they let loose in their half-asleep state.

I guess to be unfair this is still one foot in the door to dehumanizing people, and aligning your interpretation of reality with the daimons. an inevitable result of confronting these monsters. also my sword doesn't like me killing these things/ letting these people free too often, and I'm willing to leave them there if it's been too many times lately. another weapon with a different random demon might have a better personality to align with my moral spectrum, but the fact is I don't care. It might offend my eyeless demon to cut demonic eyes out of the wall, but I'll do it anyway. why would I care about some demon's feelings, if I can get the meter to keep going up?

also you fall down a lot and most demons chide you when this happens, because they have to dump their meter to revive you. truly horrendous.

The Coffin of Andy and Leyley.

Cannibalism, Incest relation with your sister, ritual murders, domestic violence, demon summoning etc.

I had the impression it was a gooner game.

SOMA, but it's interpretive. In a technical sense nothing happens to you, or to humanity. Most of the game is about being in stasis with non-existence.

Tomb Raider, it's the original gooner ladydeath game.

You get a bad booboo in Night In The Woods.

Yeah, Tomb Raider has some quite graphic death scenes.
Most story games tbh (unless you mean irl of course)
