Should I buy a PS4? (Bloodborne / KH3)
I will probably only play Kingdom Hearts 3 and Bloodborne on it, and maybe a couple other games. To those who've played Bloodborne, is it worth forking over the extra cash?

Just asking this question makes my anger boil at even considering letting Sony/MS win. Exclusives are so sleazy and underhanded that I'm furious it's affecting me like this.

So tell me, is Bloodborne (and KH3) worth swallowing my pride?
I feel so dirty...

KH1 and 2 were so good that I have high hopes for 3. We'll see how it turns out.

There's also Disgaea 5 coming out on it, so it's not a total loss :B1:

Personally, I'm gonna wait till it's cheaper. Or I have more money.

If you're about to get a whole console just to play that one or two titles, then no it isn't worth it. It's not like you're gonna sell it on eBay right after you've finished them right?

Yeah, I would FAR rather have the money in my pocket or put toward my PC instead. But... Bloodborne though... Ugh.
I would seriously consider it if I could get a PS4 for ~$250 or less, so its potential for me could be worthwhile. Even if I got one used, that will still take a long time to get.

It's worth mentioning that the current gen console is expected to have a 10-year life cycle. I can't see that happening frankly speaking, as PC will certainly have pulled a humungous distance ahead by the end of 2018.

In the meantime, I can just wait for that PS4 emulator that's sure to come out by 2030.

Uh... yeah, I'm already a dedicated PC gamer. The point of this thread was to determine if I should get a PS4 to have as well.

For those interested, I've found some used PS4 deals that are really nice. Like, 200-250 dollars. Cowboom is a good source. I think I'll still wait for the price to drop an extra 50-100 bucks before, though. KH3 won't be out for a while anyway, I can wait.

I'd say wait. Not forever obviously, but if those are the only two, (personally I think there's a lot of enticing stuff apart from BB and KH3) you'd probably be best waiting until the KH3 release. Whenever that might be. Square's been a bit weird lately and they have a lot on their plate.

But the news flow has been pretty good on KH3 so what do I know?

If you love KH, and can miss the other exclusives, the go for it.

Bloodborne is a glitched out POS that all the streamers gave up on because the game was a waste of time.

KF, yes, BB, ♥♥♥♥ no///

Kingdom Hearts 3 will likely not come out until late 2016. I haven't played Bloodborne but I did play Dark Souls 2 and my character isn't a tank (just like Bloodborne) so I'd get the game.

There are also a few other PS4 exclusives like Infamous Second Son and Until Dawn but that's pretty much it until 2016 when games like Uncharted 4 and Ratchet and Clank come out. If you missed out on games that were on 360/PS3 there are a lot of remasters of those.

If you're interested in the other exclusive that I mentioned then I would get a PS4. Otherwise your likely spending over $500 to play 2 games.

And why are you so against letting MS/Sony win? What are they competing against? If anything the competition is between MS and Sony.

I would love to play Bloodborne. Other than that though, there aren't too many games available right now. But there probably will be in the future. I personally wouldn't buy a system for one game. But that is me.

It's letting MS/Sony win at manipulating me into paying extra for no good reason. That's the part that aggrivates me. They're dangling their exclusives over my head like dog treats and I don't have the dignity not to jump for it. At least, that's the case with BB and KH3.

If it weren't for those two, I'd have absolutely no reason to mess with any new consoles at all. I've got basically all I need as it is.
PS2 for old games, PS3 for blu-ray and one or two games of its own, and PC for everything else. I used to be really big on Xbox 360, but XB isn't really offering anything worthwhile anymore.

^^ This conflict over exclusives is a needlessly large issue in the gaming market, and it saddens me to see that it's already the case in the VR market. The damn things haven't even officially released yet, and everyone's fighting for turf.
