If there is one thing that history shows us, invasions rarely work for long. There are always people who remember and who fight for freedom.
And why would America do that? The Canadians have always been allies. To kill innocents in a war they never asked for....well, that would make Trump worse than Putin.
The only ones that would really benefit from annexations are the large businesses, the average person wouldn't see much change, and as for representation, on a federal level they would have less than they currently do, due to the sheer size of the US.
