Slight crockpot conspiracy of China and Taiwan.
Been thinking about this for the past week. China has thought about taking Taiwan over the years, and made some moves of aggression.

I’ve heard that the current U.S president has stated that President Xi told him that wouldn’t invade taiwan while Trump is in office over a call.

So I’m thinking maybe China is holding back on attacking Taiwan until they can see how a country with U.S, and other foreign support would hold up. (i.e the Russia Ukraine War.)

So I’m kind of willing to bet in a couple of years after the Ukraine War ends. We’ll see a invasion of Taiwan.

Thoughts?

Edit: meant to say crackpot, but my post has inspired me to make some chicken Alfredo

If the Russian invasion of Ukraine had gone well I bet China would have already invaded.

Pretty much this. Ukraine should have been a wash, but it wasn't. Taiwan has more support and is of far greater strategic importance to the west, while also being an island nation which presents its own set of logistical problems. Its now very apparent that any invasion of Taiwan will be significantly more difficult that initially thought. Time is running out for China, though. They have an aging population with a youth culture that has essentially given up on participating in society, which no doubt translates to any military motivations, and so the longer they wait, the more difficult it becomes, and Pooh Bear knows this.
