You eventually learn that anything that gets you from point A to point B faster is worth having.
People might judge a really old car, but <10 year old used is absolutely the sweet spot for cars and still quite modern so nobody will think twice.
I like older than that too, but where I'm from cars older than 10 years tend to be covered in rust past the point of no return.
Honestly I judge people who buy brand new cars. It's pretty stupid to buy a brand new car, especially if it's the first year of a generation.
Cargo capability is more important than speed. I want a kawaii highway-legal kei truck!

If you aren't a car guy already, keep it that way. If you are content driving a cheap basic car then you are way better off.
