Pretty much this^.
If I find a game boringly tedious I may eventually put it down and not pick it back up but yeah I don't think I have ever rage quit a game before.
I am unsure if I just lost patience or have no desire to commit so much time towards a super long JRPG, but I am not replaying the whole game just to see everything it has to offer. At times I question how I even played through Persona 5 Royal multiple times on PS4 and yet I cannot bring myself to finish it once on PC.
Usually it is something stupid getting killed unexpectedly.
Mordheim put me in a bad mood with a new character to join my medieval gang and he got clobbered massively and result was he died and so i huffed!
Mordheim is currently my favourite game I am playing alongside Caravaneer2 and world of guns.
Clown rams me multiple times. No penalty.
I dodge ramming attempt by going slightly off-track. I get penalty.
Uninstalled and never looked back.
Get high 12 games in a row. 3 million yen wasted.
Then I rage at every thug on the street.
Multiplayer game just one, wasnt rage just dissapointment, it was hunt showdown.
Heard a gunfight in the distance, as a solo player went there to probably get shot and die but instead i saw a duo jumping while shooting and of course missing every shot, after seeing up close how that game became more and more like fortnite i said nah alt f4 and uninstalled that ♥♥♥♥.
No reason at all. Games are a challenge and I don't do 'rage-quitting'
Because I hadn't been saving the game regularly, I ended up with an autosave featuring my party stuck in a random encounter with a stone giant or something. I just didn't have anything equipped that could do meaningful damage to its armor or resistances. The map for the encounter was too small for me to hide and get into stealth to escape. Even though my party could outrun the thing in circles around the map, I couldn't "run away" in game terms. It just made me so mad. WHAT DO YOU MEAN I CAN'T RUN AWAY THE STUPID THING IS TOO SLOW TO CATCH ME JUST LET ME GO BACK DOWN THE DAMN ROAD.
Anyway, I uninstalled. I was not willing to replay however many hours it had been since my last save. Only paid like $3 for it, so whatever.
