Just need to avoid the right folks to avoid trouble, some local don't like "goyim" and do what local authorities say, you can get arrested for walking to places that you're not supposed to. Always wanted to go to Masada, personally. They are still pulling artifacts out of ground there. Probably the one place in that region that isn't ruined by people building crap on top of it.

Sadly it never seems safe to visit that part of the world. First it was terrorism, then Covid. But who am I kidding, I'm too poor to afford it anyway.
