Whats gotten you excited, only for severe disappointment to hit?
for example an announcement on a game or a news story, something you have high hopes for until halfway through your hit with a case of "ew... nevermind"

personally i was hoping for good things to come out of the "saints row" franchise, but the second i looked more into it and how they were spitting on their own fanbase i *knew* what was coming, so did everyone else
atleast the fans got the last laugh on volition there

so, whats gotten you pumped up only to be let down halfway through looking further into it?

Most recent games releases really but i didn't expect anything crazy either.

Trailblazers - A vehicle building game where all the blocks are behind unlocks. Slow, boring, and linear.

Humankind - Fundamentally broken gameplay that's improved a bit, but is basically just a vehicle for DLC at this point.

IXION - Marketed as a "space-based city builder" but is little more than an optimal-solution logic puzzle with game wrecking RNG.

This basically, lmao. Square Enix has been a dead company for years in my eyes.

I like the main character cast though. He really does his role well.

Most of all FF7 remake.
I'm playing Crisis Core right now. It's fun.

As for me, Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. After the magic that was A Link to the Past, i was just incredibly let down.

Atlus games. Good, challenging jRPGs. DRM ridden as heck.

The Crisis Core remake was a much needed one because it was only confined on the PSP like Final Fantasy type 0, those are actual good games.

An Atlus game with fully adult cast in cyberpunk setting!? YES PLEASE!

what I've gotten was overpriced budget game with no variety, terrible animations, worst locations, awful dungeons, story that desperately tries to make me care for characters I already killed, and a soundtrack that has like 5 good songs in entirety. It was so bad.

Crash Bandicoot 4.

I loved the Nsane trilogy, even if I do still advocate that the originals are the better option if available, and I really like what they did with CTR Nitro Fueled. So to see a Crash 4 was finally being made after all this time? Sign me up!

Then I played it. I no longer want Crash to be active and maybe him being dead was a blessing in disguise. Jesus christ. Toys For Bob being behind the new Crash game has made me already lose any faith in it being a decent product, and I pray they don't get their hands on Spyro next (besides the remakes).
