And quite frankly you shouldn't give a damn what other people think. Just play how you want.
It's really sad that anybody cares, unless it somehow actually impacts their enjoyment of the game.
The only time I could think of this happening is if for example, a lot of casual players complain a game that was meant to be challenging is too hard, and the devs actually listen and lower the overall difficulty of the game.
Don't worry, they're honestly a loud minority. Dark Souls honestly appeals to such a niche group of gamers.
A good chunk, probably even the majority still, could still be considered "casual" gamers.
Games have honestly gotten much easier than they used to be, and I think that's where the disappointment comes from in those reviewers. More than likely they're probably old DOOM fans who are just looking through nostalgia - tinted glasses and can't accept change.
Personally I'm going to be giving the open beta a shot this weekend and I will probably have fun with it.
You havent played HItman if you tink all games are easy?
