The reason I asked this by the way is someone not too far from me won £186 million on the lottery a few days back and made what I think is a very unwise decision to go public about it.

Keep my mouth shut cause you will have relatives you never even knew existed come out of the wood work asking for money.

Stay silent, otherwise you will get thousands of people looking for easy money. You might tell your immediate family, perhaps buy them a house, or pay it off for them, or give their children college funds, but even they can turn into leeches if your to generous.

I would buy a couple thousand acres in the middle of nowhere, get a decent house that can't be seen from the road, and try not to flaunt my newfound wealth.

Up here you can live for next to nothing, so I'd keep just enough to keep me comfortable for the next thirty years (a couple thousand) and give the rest to a political/social cause that I won't mention in here because it's against the COC.

Either that or I'd buy the next Grim Dawn DLC and keep the remaining 75 cents.

I'd never go public; leeches will start preying on the wealth and people will view you differently. There is saying that I love "money talks but wealth whispers". I would not even whisper.
