I just collect their freebies. 🤗
As for the oldies copyright ownership hell is the problem, and some titles have to wait 75 years from the copyright date to have that expire. After it expires the titles fall under freeware, and anyone is free to distribute legally. Nothing can be done about this till copyright laws are changed, and that isn't going to happy anytime soon.
Madness!
I just wait until they're posted in the stickied 'Free Games/Givaway' thread here in OT (and yeah they're scarce compared to Epic and IndieGala freebies), but after about 18 months I'm up to 33 games in my GOG library (all freebies) and one movie. 🤗
Good Old Games. I like it personally. It's been around for 13 years and has its own platform like Steam. I buy games there often. You get some good deals and a lot of freebies.
(inb4 "yeah, but were they good games?" lol)
I throw a fit whenever I see a grocery store that carries bok choy. It's simply unacceptable. I have to knock over all of their produce just to express my displeasure in their greenery selection.
GOG hasn't been "Good Old Games" for more than a decade now.
