Do you like fables and mythlogy?
I love mythology and fables from all of the world. If you like mythilogy tell me what your favorite stories are? Do you have a favorite culture or myth cycle or like me do you tend to find it all interesting? :Isis:

I enjoy mythology but I don't really read the stories themselves. I know the minor details of stories such as The Labors of Hercules and Thesus and the Minotaur but not enough to retell the story. I mostly enjoyed the creatures and their designs and playing games such as Age of Mythology and Titan quest.

I do! Specifically classical Greek mythology, though everything is pretty interesting to me. I guess my favorite myth would be the reason seasons exist, as well as stories about the hero Odysseus. Mostly because he was the protagonist in my favorite epic. I enjoy stories of the titan Prometheus, and how good he was to humans, when the rest of the divine beings didn't really care. My favorite book as a kid was this Greek mythology one, which was filled with descriptions and stories. It was a difficult read when I first started it (I was about 8, and this is a large, adult guide), but I was older when I finally finished it. Lol so yes. I do enjoy it.

I do appreciate Greek mythology. I like the one which tells how the Milky Way was created, and the story about Midas.

Irish Celtic myths about the hidden realm and The Good Folk.
Used like Greek and Norse, but lost interest years ago. Might have a few books boxed up somewhere. I will just stick with Thor and Wonder Woman at the mo.

Yes, that is pretty funny. Imagune how insane it would be if they ever made a movie that kept to the details of the original myths. Especially something as insane as when Set tricked Osiris.

I like The Bible. Well, the first half, at least. Mostly coherent narrative, and has some totally badass characters and stories. It's like Game of Thrones without all the male nudity. Awesome stories about some wars. My favorite part (which is really the best part) was the story about the wizard who took on an empire and freed the slaves.
The second half is ok, but put me off. Switched the narrative to center on one guy, and keeps repeating some of the stuff (I read some of the stories in it four times). Also didn't like they killed off the main character about halfway through, then spent a bunch of time talking about how cool the guy was. It's also kind of preachy, and pushes a bunch of hippie stuff in places.
Some guy wrote a sequel much later, but it didn't go over very well. He was killed by an angry mob who didn't like what he'd done with some of the characters, or something. (Opinion is still split on whether it was a better book than Twilight.)
