I can't put my phone number,it always give error

start it with the country code
1- for usa/canada

and make sure your country/location is set correctly on the address form

Country has to be set in your Account Details first before doing any check out process. Make sure that is correct first as this will then dictate how phone number entries work on the checkout forms.

Yes North America requires country code #1 so for example you need to enter all 10 digits of your number, not 9.

So for example; 1667#######
Not 667#######

mine says its connected to another account, i dont recall adding my number. says the account had problems. can i get help with this and how to add my phone number to my account.

You don't require a phone number unless you use the Steam Mobile authentication app.

To add it go to Account Details.

However you will still be asked for a number during checkout process if none is permanently tied to your account.

For Steam Athenticator app it must be a valid Mobile #. It can not be a hard-liine # or a number like say from TextNow for example
