many laptops also have that gpu, and its not a bad choice for oems to put in their pcs
and now intel/amd no longer label all their igpus hd/uhd or radeon with no number, so they are diluted more
What a load of poop.
Laptops with 60 series gpu's aren't That common and definitely don't out number Desktops.
Most people buy 60 level as it's reasonably priced and runs everything fairly well, even more so on desktop.
Most don't spend thousands on their systems and gpu's and there is nothing you can play on a 5090 you couldn't play on a 5060/ti, likewise for previous generations 4090/4060 etc etc.
Sometimes you really do come out with the most inane of statements.
xx60 is entry level gaming, or good if the cpu has no igpu
Well I’m shocked. Truly shocked.
RTX 50 series is still very new; only a small # of consumers would have these already.
Compared to say a 3060 or 4060.
More people probably have a 3060 or 4060; then all of the rest of the RTX 40 and 50 users combined.
He said xx50 meaning 1050, 3050 etc not the 50 series.
Yes true true. No biggy
But yea 4050 and 5050 are total poopy
Many still prefer 1080p over the premium costs of newer Displays and better hardware to net a 60+ FPS average at 1440p or higher.
Lazy? No more like how expensive everything has gotten since 2020. Your average half decent build in the USA with an RTX 5080 is $2000+
In many countries; they live with less and live in smaller places; hence why in many countries they would rather just buy a Laptop. Many in other countries don't fill the rooms of their living space with brand new, large sized 4K TV panels.
Have one too, gonna keep it til the next build (in the PS6 era). DLSS4 upscaling has thrown it another lifeline. Plus, like 2, 3 % of all games released every year are demanding (AAAA) games. They get all the publicity, sure. But they represent but a fraction of all releases, to an extent even in terms of popularity (check what's most played on Steam, for instance).
Btw, in Computerbase's benches of the 1050Ti back then, it reached 60 fps in 3 games out of 23. The 5050 in ~half of the 23 games benched@1080p (they are benching highest settings). And seeing the occasional offers for the 5050 dropping close to the 200 EUR, if AMD don't counter that, that's their choice... The RX 6600+7600 are gonna disappear, and they have no support for FSR4. As a few games have been demonstrating, upscaling isn't treated as "Nice to have". It's part of the show, in particular for UE5 games.
The 5060 has better raw performance than what's inside of the PS5 across the board. Would be a decent budget pick as a 12GB Super variant...
