No issues, you just have to upgrade, everything will be ported over.
If it will be from Windows Updates, there will be no difference.
If it will be fresh install, then make sure you're overwriting C drive/partition only.
Windows ---> WinToUSB
Debian 13 ---> Winboat
Everything will stay right in place if you chose to do an in-place upgrade then you won’t need to reinstall Steam or any of your games
Upgraded from 10 myself to 11 through Windows Update
That is a thing of the past. Like back in WinXP to Vista or alike.
Windows have made the upgrade feature so good you can go from Win8.1 all the way too Win11 without any issues. This is on the same SSD too.
as for game saves, grab gaesavemanager, make a local backup somewhere
unplug all other drives, when you install win 11 over win 10
do not format, it should move all existing windows os, user and program files to a backup location on the drive then install the new os
when done, shutdown, plug in other drives
check disk management and map the drives to the correct letters
and copy back program and user files to restore them, and make shortcuts or just reinstall them
Funny since you can't go from 8.1 to 11. So like what the F you're smoking....
Play it safe, don't do an OS upgrade via Windows Updates. Do it from USB. Either a boot installl or from inside Win10 and run the setup from the Win11 USB.
