Do you need the mobile auth enabled to use fingerprint sign in on steam mobile app?

Yes. Biometrics must be enabled in both the phone and app settings.

Yes i have this enabled. i mean if i want to use my biometrics for steam app do i need that Steam Mobile Guard enabled? because i just only have steam guard email. will it work with just the steam guard email?
