4 pin RGB is supposed to have 1 pin missing. That acts as a keyed connection so you know which way to plug it in
I don't think I explained very well. I know I need a fan controller hub. But some fan controller have RGB hub built in, just like the one I posted.
Sorry for not being clear.
Theoretically I can plug 3+3 fans to the board's PWM (2 connectors) with daisy chains + the RGB to the RGB socket on the board with daisy chain too. But that is the think. The RGB connector in the board is 4 pins and the plugs for the fans are 3 pin (4 pin layout but one of them is blocked).
The connector on the MB is the one on the right. The fan plug is also the one on the right, so no match.

First and foremost, I want the fans to be controlled by PWM. That part I know how it works. But the RGB kind of has me going in circles. I might as well just forget about controlling the RGB since the fans work (and light up) with "just" power but would be cool to match the case fans to the CPU cooler.
P.S. The fans are not PWM compatible but convertible, according to some reviews? I'm not getting this and need to check better. In any case, not getting a controller until I find this.
No wonder I wasn't understanding the wiring that came with the fans.
thats argb, (addressable, each led can be a different color) [5v,data,key,gnd]
rgb is 4 pin, [+12v,-g.,-r,-b]

So basically your DC controlled fans. Have to check if my MB handles this, but for 6 fans, I'm not sure it's a good idea. Besides, I'm not even sure I can find a proper DC controller for 6 fans that runs off the DC control from the MB.
Can't even find the exact fans I have on their website and the case's literature just mentions 120mm ARGB fans. Nothing more.
I was naive to assume the fans would be PWM, but the case is decent and for 36 euros, the fans were almost "free".
most case fans are around 0.15a, x6 = 0.90a
all should be ok on one header
but safer to use 2 (one header for 3 fans, 0.45a)
with dc control fans, you can use the first fans 3pin header, and chain the rest using the molex connectors (do not plug them into the psu, just to each other)
rpm sense will only be from the first fan, but all fans will be dc controlled from the molex

Thanks.
I recently change the other computer from DC control to PWM (and a PWM hub) so that part I know. I just need to have a better look at my rig and see what options are available for the MB. It does have 2 chassis fan controllers, so can easily be 3+3.
And maybe connect the CPU only to RGB as it doesn't light up without it. The case fans light up with no RGB control. At this point I'm just bickering.
The power connectors on the fans are weird. One has a molex plug and them has a hook up to a daisy chain. The rest of the fans have a weird 4 pin that is not your standard 4 pin. I sent an email to see if they can shed some light.
The RGB are 3 pin RGB connectors (same as 4 pin but one pin blocked). So that should be for 5V ARGB, while the MB has 12v RGB, if I understand correctly.
Oh well. The case was still cheap if I toss out the fans, but I would expect something at least standard. But now I'm pissed enough that I MUST get to the bottom of this. If all fails, new fans... lol
you can get argb adapters from rgb
like the one you listed, but without the fan controls, as thats for pwm fans, but all controlled from the same header
or dont use the mobo, and just get a separate argb controller
https://www.amazon.com/TTTLLNN-Control-Controller-Chassis-Computer/dp/B0DPB4K7L4
other 2 ARGB (5V) fans but the mobo has RGB 12V , no way to use this for the lights
Might leave these 2 fans without the lights
That's the think. There is only one fan with molex and that one has another adaptor that goes to a daisy chain and some non standard 4 pin connectors.
I have them with just the molex and haven't connected the RGB. LEDs still light up.
I will try to understand all this but at this point I either just toss the lot and get a new set of everything (already have 2 PWM fans, non RGB that were left over) or I find a DC controlled hub for the fans, if the connectors are right.
it says control button in front panel
No manual. I have sent a message to the support for clarification.
square pins are fan header
molex is the large 4pin for pata/ide hdd for 5/12v
molex using fan adapter from other fan can be variable, if mobo header used is set to dc voltage control, and it not plugged directly into the psu
if the fan has 2 cables coming from it, then one is for power/speed control, other is rgb/argb
your mobo only has rgb header, not argb, you will need some kind of argb controller to use the argb stuff
but you can plug the fans power into the boards fan headers to use them as fans

he said the fans are argb, and they had fan headers, not molex
if one fan has molex and fan header, you can use its molex to control the other fans from the fan header
