thanks for chiming in. So my system will run it, but slow? would I be alright until I play online, or will it glitch even in single mode?

15FPS , low , i doubt it d be a good experience . Check if it has a dedicated GPU as well

It will lilely freeze for a good ammount of time and / or crash if a big explosion goes off, turn time for ai will likely be brutal.

Best option is to try it for an hour, just pick any character / class abd fun I go thd tutorial and see if YOU can put up with it, if you can't, maje sure you are out of the game within 2 hours and ask for a refund.

I do not think it will be a fun experience, I can see yiu getting go parts thst sill just straight up crash thst you might not be able go pass.

It is time to get a new system, start saving and take the old one out behind the barn.
My tablet can run Baldur's Gate. It's over 20 years old, and the enhanced editions don't add much in the way of extra processing and graphical burden.

On the contrary, they got rid of the fully CGI animated cutscenes and replaced them with the moving comic book style.

the orig bg, bg2 and its expansions are very old and will run on anything that can run win 10-11

I'll be honest, I thought they were referring to the latest bg3 not the originals...
Need at least RTX 3050 for that

Steam has an under 2 weeks and less than 2 hours refund policy. You can test it just keep it well under 2 hours. If it barely runs maybe refund it. The game might get more demanding at parts?

It should go on sale with in the next 3-4 weeks maybe? There will definitely be an xmas sale in the next 2 months.

He didn't say "Baldur's Gate 3". He said "Baulder's Gate". Assuming that's a spelling error...

Baldurs Gate as in 1 and 2 from the mid-late 90s? Dw, I’ve played BG2 on a P1-233 MMX so any kind of fridge should be able to run it today…

Iirc the mid specs for 2 was like a Pentium 166 and 16 MB(!!) Ram, 1 even lower. Enhanced doesn’t add much and the specs are inflated because Steam itself would likely refuse to launch on that system.

Baldurs Gate 3 would be close to a picture slideshow however.
