I see your perspective.
it’s kind of ridiculous knowing that the RTX 5000 series is out but yet 4000 series are still at retail for used.
Hopefully things change 2026 whenever RTX 6000 series gets released.
It's not just your wallet, but your PC that has to be ready for a monster gpu like a 4090 or 5090. A new native ATX 3.1 PCIe gen 5 psu is a certainty, preferably one with a dedicated 600w 50 amp rail to the 12v 2x6 connectors and the full suite of protections...current, temperature etc. This is the safest way to look after your precious 4090/5090.
You'll still be paying high dollars for a 4090 even when the 6090 comes out especially with the top models from the big three....Gigabyte Aorus, MSI Suprim, Asus Rog Strix. But who knows about the future? There is a lot of politics around chip manufacturing that will keep things uncertain, supply difficult and prices high. Get it while you can, I say. I don't want to say it, but I also own a Auros 5090 Master.
The new numbers released has shown AMD to be effectively dead in the gpu market and non existent in the consciousness of gamers.
they used to be like 1300+ euros and recently ive seen some going for under 1000
but then again its only 10% faster than 4080Super
