resident evil 4 remake frame rate drop
I already did a discussion on the RE4 forums But I cant seem to find an answer. I looked online But I found nothing. Every few minutes my frames just drop and it stutters really badl its the same thing for REV. But other games like rd2 or gow work just fine. I got an Alienware
Processor 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-12900H (2.50 GHz)
Ram 32.0GB

Yeah I don't think it's a GPU related issue. Might be your CPU. H suffix is not good for gaming. Next time look for HX CPU.

Is it a new problem? Meaning it happened now whereas before the game was running fine.

its a laptop

make sure its fully charged and plugged in while gaming

and get a vent blower to help its cooling
ones like this actually work really well, helping the internal fan and cooling to make them work better

It works fine with all the other games Like Rd2 GOW and more. Rd4 seems like its the only one struggling and its been like this since the start of the game

I'm currently installing it again to check for myself but I vaguely remember other users experiencing crashes.

Can you simultaneously run msi afterburner to check temps and utilisation?

I will check and I will let you know thank you.
I tested it on my main and sff setup. On both 1%lows are within spitting distance at max settings with RT turned to high. Lowered resolution from 4k to 900p but the results were the same.
Play for 15 minutes then try again. Works for me no issue. But the game runs like garbage for around 15 minutes straight after and update or a reinstall, because it appears to be building a shader cache in real time.
