Have you asked in the games own forum about this?

Try a few things,

You should have Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2010[learn.microsoft.com]both the x64 and x86 versions.

Delete this automatic regenerative configuration file:
%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Bayonetta
→ system_data

Restart the game.

If that fails, try this which worked for me a while ago:
Steam\steamapps\common\Bayonetta\aspect unlock
→ DisableAspectLock.reg

Restart the game.

You can also enable the AspectLock feature if all else fails in order to reverse engineer.

Can you provide more information about what's happening?

Does it not launch from the Steam launcher? It sounds like you're trying to launch from the game files manually, why?

Does it open at all? What kind of error? What are your PC specs?

make sure steam is set to run as admin, so when i tries to install the redists they install correctly
What game are you trying to launch? Despite you having installed every prerequisite, the error can still be occurring if you are trying to run old games.

So try these if you have installed every prerequisite, and as I assume you want to run an old game:
