3060 rtx 12gb vs 5060ti 8 or 16gb=?
So i have a 3060 rtx 12gb card and i want to get a new gpu in this new generation of cards
i'm looking at the ASUS GeForce RTX 5060 Ti DUAL OC 8GB vs ASUS GeForce RTX 5060 Ti DUAL OC 16GB

i have a Intel Core i5-12400F
my psu is a Corsair RM850e

is the performance a lot? between the 8 vs 16 remember i'm a 1080P player.

what do you guys think?

it all comes down to price and if the extra money is worth it for the 16gb version or the cheaper option with the 8gb version?

5060Ti 8GB is not a cheap card. I would personally pay 15% extra for 100% more memory.
The performance will still be the same in most games but not all. Especially if you want to use DLSS frame generation and max textures settings.

Would not get anything below 16 GB VRAM these days. Even 1080p will run out of VRAM with 8 GB on newer games.

If you're comfortable buying secondhand then try your luck with a 2080ti. Still imo the best bang for buck GPU out there. At least on the low-end.

Try to get the 16GB version if you can. You may also want to look at the 16G version of the 9060XT as well.

I could understand 3080 but would not recommend 2000 series to anybody at 2025.

That's a good choice. Should give you decent performance and Blackwell is very efficient. You could undervolt it and still get roughly the same performance.

And btw 5060 Ti 16 GB beats 2080 Ti in basically all games by 10-20 fps.

I would spend extra on the 16gb even as a 1080p player because it will resale a lot better than the 8gb.

I haven't personally seen a 2 fan version. All the ones I've seen are triple fan 380mm+
