I'd say MSI because I have an MSI monitor and really like it, but this is only the first quality monitor I've ever owned so I'm not too familiar with general monitor performance and stuff.

personally i'd go with MSI.

I've heard that msi monitors are generally more costly and the low ranged ones ain't that good either however I know that sports pros prefers msi brand over others but the thing is the esport players use higher ranged monitors but the one in my cart is relatively the cheapest msi monitor with only 100hz of refresh rate or say it's a basic entry level monitor from msi

how much can you spend? and what currency?
there might be a better choice then ether msi or acer.

it's just generally MSI make better monitors.

My 1050 ti provides me no more than 80-120 fps so I don't think that its worth purchasing the 144 hz monitor or higher even if i can spend extra.

And both the monitors that I've selected lies in the same price range/display size/refresh rate/response rate/resolution etc but the brand difference and also there is a delay in the delivery of msi probably because of it's high demand and rating hence I've decided to purchase the acer only because of the faster shipping however I can wait if anyone can confirm that msi monitors are better than acer if they had used both before.

For better comparison I've added the models of the following monitors
Acer ek220q 54.61cm 100 hz
Msi pro mp223 100 hz

these are both VA monitors, you should really get an IPS
the MSI PRO MP225 is a good choice

but out of the two, the msi one has better color coverage and has adaptive sync support.

both are fine

whats your budget?
do you really need the vga input?

MSI G242L E14 is <$100
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/2HpD4D/msi-g242l-e14-238-1920-x-1080-144-hz-monitor-g242l-e14
still 4ms g2g, but 144hz, 24in, with freesync

or at $105 Asus VG249Q3R
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/rrWmP6/asus-tuf-gaming-vg249q3r-238-1920-x-1080-180-hz-monitor-vg249q3r
180hz, 1ms g1g, and freesync

just enable freesync in gpu control panel, and vsync in games, it will lower the refresh to what the gpu can output

I use an MSI dual monitor stand which is of really good quality. I only use Dell & Viewsonic displays tho’. I imagine the MSI monitor would be a good choice.

Msi pro mp225 cost around 70$ but I can also purchase Acer EK240Y P6 P6 60cm 144 hz only if I put 5$ extra which is around 75$

Ips display with more refresh rate with just 5$ extra hell I believe it's the cheapest 144 hz screen from Acer and the only reason I liked it because it costs around 75$ otherwise 144 hz screens usually starts from @115$

Is it worth it to buy 144 hz because my gpu rarely gives me more than 120 fps

get the high refresh display, make sure it supports gsync and/or freeync

a good monitor will last 15+ years

I'd say MSI all things equal but man just go with the one you think looks MORE NICER!

Sure mate but is it worth getting a 144hz or higher when you just have a 1050 ti that provides you no more than 120 fps
_I_ 23. aug. kl. 3:01
you will use it with a better gpu in the future

for desktop and 2d mode, it can do 144+fps
makes everything look smoother

with vrr, games can run as good as the cpu and gpu will let it

My main monitor is an MSI MPG 321URX. I was really worried about burn in with it being OLED, but it still hasn't happened after more than a year. Build quality is great. My motherboard and Nvidia GPU are MSI too. It's definitely a brand I lean towards.
