Invalid Steam HW survey from ARM64 PC with Snapdragon CPU
I just got a prompt to submit my Steam HW survey and I discovered that it reports invalid values for the CPU type and parameters. It shows "Virtual CPU" as the brand. This should be fixed to get proper reporting of users running ARM64 version of Windows, ideally by having native Steam client compiled for Windows ARM64. Note I have Lenovo Yoga 7x with the Snapdragon X Elite CPU. I use this laptop for playing some low-demanding casual games.

It'll happen, but the ARM gaming PC userbase probably isn't significant yet. And it's not like a PC Gaming store and software and game developer is unaware of what's happening with PC hardware.

Yeah, you're hot to trot, but you're gonna have to be patient regardless.

Steam survey hardware reporting is not perfect.
I have a very common hardware and my GPU was correctly recognised but no VRAM was detected in my system.

Steam isn't even 64bit on Windows, and it has no real reason to be, now how much less reason is there for ARM native client? Even on Mac its not ARM, they just updated it to 64bit last second before OS X dropped 32bit software.
Are there any other non-Snapdragon ARM PCs even? So virtual on the hardware survey is basically just Snapdragon anyways.

Steam survey hardware is correct since there is yet no arm64 version of Steam. That being it runs with the emulation layer (Prism) and the CPU is considered virtual because it is.

Mostly all virtual machine will show as a virtual cpu so no, virtual cpu doesn't always mean that it is a Snapdragon CPU.
