Okay sounds good, thank you! I don’t like the clacking sound of keyboards at all. I’m looking for something a quite as possible. Preferably not backlit either.
That depends on what you're after. If you are meaning "mechanical keyboard" as in reference to a tactile response (e.g. where you'll feel the click of actuation) then look for a keyboard that uses Cherry MX Silent Brown switches. If you are rather just meaning one that has a mechanical switch for better wear/longetivity that still has a linear response then look for keyboards that have Cherry MX Silent Red switches.

I've always found my cherry mx reds to be all but silent.
If your goal is a quiet mechanical keyboard without any frills you can get one directly from Cherry for around $60.

Perfect, yeah I don’t really care for any frills. Any suggestions for an all black keyboard? Or would I just search for whatever has the brown/red switches?

They make that same Cherry keyboard I linked in all black

But yes, look at various mechanical keyboard sites and look at which switches the keyboards use. MX/MX2A Silent Red or MX/MX2A Silent Brown will be pretty quiet.
