why hardware in recent years start failing so much...
Literally. From degrading 13/14 gen i cpus, to exploding ryzens, to motherboards degrading or even burning CPUs, to GPUs that burn their power connectors down, to PSUs that fail and sometimes even kill people... Why?
Or even mobos that fry VRMs down...

My hardware has been solid.
Hardware has always had major failings. The difference today is that more people are buying it, and more coverage is done when flaws are found.

Don't forget the SSD issues we face now. Samsung 860 EVO, Crucial MX500 and WD Blue had no issues.

Now we have Firmware issues on Samsung, WD, Kingston, SK Hynix and many other Phison drives.

Dont forget faulty Ryzen1 cpu's or the gpu's that shipped with faulty ram chips.

Either more people are buying stuff or manufacturers started to push out more faulty parts. I think it the later.
Been on 14th gen for a year without hassle, 7900 XTX too.
Pushing the limits of silicon and power delivery trying to keep people buying new hardware.

The limits are getting truly pushed now, but, these issues have always existed, it's just social media these says amplifiers the problem to a crazy degree.

To be fair to the awful 12vhpwr / 12v-2x6, it works perfectly fine if properly inserted, it's just not as stable as previous options, so that one is 100% user error, but got magnified to the point that people think it's a genuine risk even if you are careful to properly insert it.

It's called the technology race. They hypnotize you with influencers and advertising, they push you to buy, and you buy.

Look at how many sales Nvidia is making with the worst graphics card series ever.

Look at the growth in heat sinks.

But today, thanks to AMD, we have the Atomman G7-PT and the Gmktec EVO-X2 on the market. I have both, and I'll be fine for a long time.

delusional....and like always you have no clue of what your talking about....voltage regulation has been on every socket before this.....its a major design flaw that NgreedyA does not want to fix when they can lie and say its a on the standard of the plug like it was a USB socket.....it is a 100% design flaw and you saying other wises proves you should not talk about it.......:ROTTR_molotov:
when you figure in the failure rate of any mass produced product

with the more complex you make something giving it more failure points

and companies wanting to use every scrap of silicon they can

you see the problems we have seen
The main thing that semiconductors are slowly really getting limited by light speed.
After that, nothing can be faster.

No, it's literally 100% user error failing to fully seat the new connector, no one has been able to make them melt anything without delibertly inducing failures on par with the connector not being seated correctly or users forcing cables to bend at unsafe angles.

So, as usual, you have shown you know nothing about tech, congratulations.

Now, note how I said I don't like the connector and how it is a bad design, that is because it has to be very securely and carefully fully seated which is easier to get wrong than the previous style, but that doesn't change the fact that it works when used properly.

Anyone notice that those with a issue with me tend to be those who are wrong all the time?

let's assume that every one of these is because the user did not seat it correctly

that is not something that we should worry will set our house on fire

and in no way does that absolve the company from the mistake they made

it has been shown that the connector for these is at fault

they will pump huge amounts of power through one or two of the pins

it has been shown this is because they do not have a regulator

a company has made one for a hundred bucks that will make sure they are stable

just not sure why that is where they chose to cut costs
