nvidia app auto starts no matter what
- I disabled everything in features in settings of nvidia app
- disabled it in NVIDIA Control Panel > On the top menu select > Desktop > "Show Notification Tray Icon.
- disabled it in Task Scheduler > Task Scheduler Library

There is no option for it in Task manager > Autostart

and it still autostarts in tray every time I boot system

How do I disable nvidia app from auto starting ?

If you don't need the NVIDIA app uninstall it. However it's a must so you can apply certain tweak such as DLSS 4 over ride.

If you mean NV Control Panel that's required to be there, leave it alone.

All you need to disable for for NVIDIA is telemetry. Simply go to this in Windows Services and disable it. Not the other nvidia stuff though.

just install the drivers......oh and if your not using it never install the HDMI audio drivers ether.....they cause stuttering in game as the audio chip built in to the HDMI port will wait for a return signal that never comes.....this also effects AMD cards for anyone else reading this as its a problem with the HDMI standard and how the port is made

This
Just install the Driver and PhysX and nothing else, problem solved.
Driver, Custom Install, deselect everything but PhysX
Done deal

It's optional just uninstall it if you don't want it
hes rught. but then you might get another popup. "nvidia control panel not installed"

ddu will be needed if clear install doesnt work

No those are separate.

Control Panel is part of the NVIDIA Driver. The NVIDIA app is 100% optional

But again you might need NVIDIA APP to do certain things such as DLSS 4 Over ride. What users SHOULD do is have it available to you but DO NOT use the "optimize my ganes" option

Pretty good app called DLSS Swapper if you want to ditch the Nvidia app and still be able to update DLSS models.
Not swapper... use DLSS Updater app. It also updates the FSR files too if anyone cares.

Yeah DLSS Swapper does all that
https://github.com/beeradmoore/dlss-swapper
Yea IDK maybe both apps are the same. This open source stuff is ripped and copied under different names all the time.

You can disable auto optimisation
Well yea I know that. That's why I said don't optimize the games. People mess up because it asks you this in the beginning, everyone should be clicking NO. Then optimize games on a game by game basis.
