is a new xbox series x good for 600€ in 2025?
as title says, is it appropriate? we dont know, how the "new" xbox will look like. all I gathered looks like it will me more a concept to combine several game services on one device.

600€ for a xbox series x, which is EOL soon, is too much asked, or not?

tell me your opinion, please.

edit: just a few corrections for better understanding

idk i got xbox series s for 250 and it complements my gaming pc pretty well
The one you’re referring is an Asus ROG Ally branded Xbox, but it uses the exact same Asus hardware since it’s made by Asus. There’s nothing different from the original ROG Ally, except for the much higher price caused by the Xbox branding. The combined services are already available on the current ROG Ally, which is nothing more than a handheld PC, not a console. Paying $600 just for the Xbox logo is nonsense.

The combined services are nothing more than shortcuts to the game service launchers, something that’s already available on the current ROG Ally and similar porable pc's and on any PC

I refer to a xbox series x, which was introduced first in 2020, costs 600€ new in september 2025, at almost the generations end of life. I just think, its too expensive.

They usually go on sale for the holidays. I got them for GoldenEye 007 and Perfect Dark XBLA Rare Replay but were like half what they are right now.

a handheld is no option for me.
Get a second hand gaming PC at this point, once you add a second controller and xbox sub and better headset etc (the financial impact is quite a lot) you may as well buy a second hand gaming PC.

Also games are cheaper on PC and you can do more on a PC

why buy games on pc when games are free on xbox via gamepass
