How do I re-install Windows 11
I have a laptop with pre installed windows 10. Is there a way to format everything on my drive and make the system re install it again?

yes, use the ms creation tool to make the os install usb stick
reboot with it plugged in, it should boot to os installer
(if it does not, reboot and spam f8-f10 and it should bring up the boot device selection, pick the usb stick)

at drive selection, shift+f10
diskpart list disk select disk 0 <-- CONFIRM THIS IS THE RIGHT DISK NUMBER clean convert gpt exit exit
then resume the os installer

What make and model of laptop is it?

The manufacturer may have provided a recovery partition to allow it to be returned to factory state.

or before doing that, grab the drivers from the mfg site, and save them to the usb stick also
Make a Win11 USB. When done download all your drivers and stick then in a folder on the Win11 usb. Then reboot into BIOS and boot from USB. When you reach the drive options, delete all the drive 0 partitions

Why don’t you just reset Windows 11 to factory settings, if I may ask?

Fair point, but maybe OP wants to keep his OEM stuff?

But when you bought it, there was the OEM stuff still on it, wasn't it?
So you basically don't want it the way it was but rather just delete everything OEM related?

That's fine, but keep in mind that some people on eBay might mind. I remember selling an HP notebook on eBay after formatting it and the buyer asked me why all the backup BIOS stuff and OEM-specific software had been deleted. Some of it can be downloaded from the manufacturer’s site but not everything. I’d be careful just saying.

Your exactly right. So a stupid question, but how do I reset then to the factory settings? Because I cant find it.

You can do that either in Windows settings or through the recovery manager. It's much faster and easier than to reformat everything and install a new Windows OS and all the drivers. Plenty good Youtube videos out there. It will take you only a few minutes.

But there is also nothing wrong with what other users have said. You can reformat and delete everything, but just make sure to mention that when you sell your notebook on ebay. Most people don't care if there is OEM stuff on it or not.

Do I need to have a original windows 11 software to install a new Windows OS, because I don't have it.

You mean if you want to do a complete clean install? Just download a windows 11 iso file from Microsoft and make a bootable disc/usb stick and you're fine. It's free.

You won't need to do any of it if you just do a factory reset. It's up to you. Both methods are just fine.
