Wireless keyboard/mouse combo - should i leave it on?

Hi, I have a Logitech K400r keyboard for couch use and i'm quite paranoid about turning off the device when i'm not using it. I'll even turn it off when i visit the bathroom or make a cup of coffee.
I wonder how much battery the device uses in standby mode.

logitech wireless k/m are really good on batteries
they can go years on a single aa/aaa set with rare use even if left on

I don't know about logitech but I use a cheap little travel kb/m set up for my couch and I only charge them about once a month. They don't have RGB or backlights or anything, but the batteries last ages. They do fall asleep when not in use though, so I have to press a key on my kb to wake it up if I haven't used it in about 5 minutes or so.
