Steam Deck - The Glarening!
Hey Y'all, how goes?

I was at the gym the other day, and someone thought my custom-modded Nintendo Switch looked cool, but thought it would look even cooler if it wasn't mine anymore. So now I'm back to being bored on my 2hr long commute to work each morning. Because of this, and the fact that you can never play the Nintendo games you bought unless you have their hardware, I'm making the Switch (ha) to the Steam Deck.

But I have some questions slash concerns, namely: if I were to splurge and shell out for the 1TB model, is there any way I can get Steam to not mess with the glass?

I can't stand 'anti-glare'-anything. If I want a lack of clarity in my viewport, I'd eat pizza and play cookie clicker, or something. I want the 1TB of space without the need to 3rd-party the spatial upgrade, but I'll be plucked raw before I voluntarily allow for my glossy, transparent attention-keeper to be adulterated in any form.

Gloss or Death, Tenno, there is no anti-glare.

Just buy a glossy screen deck and put whatever sized SSD in it you want, I'm an idiot and I upgraded the SSD in my deck, so I'm sure you can do it, :tgrin:

You might want to wait as every year the Deck seems to get some sort of special model, last year it was a White version. That was mid November so not that far off.

Otherwise yeah just upgrade the SSD, or get a 512GB microSD for some games, you won’t need nvme speeds.
