Open Steam . Right click the game name->Properties->Installed Files->Verify integrity of game files . if this doesnt help , uninstall and reinstall . Sometimes some files (DLL ) are omitted during the check .if you know which files are missing , might manually reinstall it like C++ redistributables

Verify game files via Steam

Wipe all GPU Shader Cache

If using NVIDIA App then do not use the Optimize Game option. If you did and that caused a problem, go to where the game stores its config files it created after game launch and delete them. Then launch game to recreate those fresh again with defaults.

If still a problem, use the DDU App in Safe Mode and wipe out all GPU related drivers and software then reboot and install latest for Chipset, onboard GPU if you have one, and your Dedicated GPU. Reboot as needed and then configure the GPU settings in OS and in the GPU related control panel such as NVIDIA CP or AMD Adrenaline

I checked and most of the games this is happening with are from nekonyon the nekodats file is missing from those games folders they just up and vanished and yes i've tried verifying the files steam does not reconize that those files are gone and uninstalling those games and reinstalling did not work either
