Laptop no longer records screen
I have an old laptop, a Lenovo IdeaPad Flex-15IWL. I tried to record the screen for a game, but it no longer records. It's been a long time since I've recorded screen so I don't know if it's due to age or an update on the laptop. I tried recording via Game Bar and it said that gaming features aren't available for Windows desktop or File Explorer. The shortcut doesn't work anymore either. Anyone know if this laptop can still record?

Launch the Microsoft Store App and go to Library/Downloads... Get Updates > Update All. When done launch game and try WINKEY+G once again

Windows Updates could have pushed a GPU Driver update as well. If there something wrong with tbat use DDU app and go into safe mode and wipe each brand of Graphics via the clean option. When all done restart normally and download and install...

Chipset Driver
Onboard iGPU Driver
Dedicated GPU Driver

Reboot when all done and go from there.

Thanks for the response. It turns out that Game Bar can still record, but only for a few seconds. Anyone know what's up with that?

is the drive full?
Keep about 40+ GB free on C Drive at all times. Don't allow that to fill up.

You also have Video Recording settings in WinOS for the Xbox Gamebar, double check all of that too.

Enough GB is available. It recorded for a different game, so I guess the other game is finicky and I just need to figure it out. Thanks for your replies.
Ok you said it recorded. That could be why the space is being used. Then after a restart the recordings are deleted unless you save them elsewhere. Has zero to do with games. It's your AMD or NVIDIA settings. And do not let recorders use C Drive. It will impact the drive wear & tear very quickly.
