PSU on the top side or PSU on the bottom (with a guard)
Hi,

The micro ATX cases I like and that are decent and cheap mostly have the PSU placing up top. I know it's mostly about space and size, but I'm trying to go for a micro ATX. MB is micro ATX, GPU is a 2 fan about 270 to 280 length and 2 stacks high (intel Arc A750) and the cooler is a Thermalright Assassin King 120 at 148 mm. I can always return the cooler if I find the "right" case and it doesn't have enough space for a 148mm cooler. I also have the stock AMD cooler but I really don't like. Noisy!
Don't care for RGB, but doesn't matter either way.
There are some decent Mars Gaming cases on sale at about 30/35 euros but they are all PSU on top. The build is nothing crazy, Ryzen 5 5500 and Arc750, but I do want nice airflow.

What do you guys think?

bottom is better, the psu often blocks airflow,
most cases with top mount psu do not have a fan slot on top to vent any trapped hot air

At least I know I'm not the only one!

I might "have" to go for a ATX mid tower. They are usually cheaper than micro ATX. Go figure...

PSU up to 273mm.
My PSU is - 271 x 132 x 48 mm, 2.4-slot

Too close for comfort?

atx power supply is a standard size, only the length can vary

there are lots of m-atx tower cases with bottom psu
