CPU Pin...
Good time of day. Citizens, I got into such a situation that today, exactly a month ago, I assembled a PC from the following configuration: Gigabyte B760 GAMING X DDR4, Soc-1700, Intel B760, ATX. 12400f, PSU 1stplayer NGDP 750w. Everything was going steadily, sometimes in one game you could hear the throttles whistling or something similar from them on the PSU side. Today I noticed one thing that the 8-Pin CPU power cord in the motherboard was not fully plugged in by about 1 mm. There were no blue screens, burning smells, or crashes from games. Is there a possible danger to the components? Now I've put the squeeze on this CPU wire all the way down and it feels like the whistle of the PSU chokes in the game has disappeared, or the noise from the VRM area of the motherboard has disappeared, perhaps I'm confusing this with the sound from the PSU, since they are located close enough. What do you think about this?

Good thing you inspected it, Make sure all wiring connections and hardware components are properly secured in place. if you don't notice any issues. Should be fine. Hope for the best!

PS: That is a very decent motherboard

14700f is only 65-117w

the 8pin eps is good for 336w (4 x 7a x 12v)
about 3x what the cpu needs

and the mobo can also pull power from the main atx connector and not need a 4 or 8pin eps for very low end cpus (pentium g under 40w)

the 8pin connector plugged in most of the way with that cpu will be fine, but best to double check before powering it on anyway
