On a well maintained system? Unnecessary bloatware.
On a system that actualy benefits from that? Well, why don't optimize it properly so the system runs better all the time?

I wouldn't. But I don't need it. Never used it. I did check it out ages ago and it just sounded a bit meh to me.

Is it really that bad?

Think about it. How do they manage to increase game performance without doing physically impossible things by conjuring it from nothing?
Right, by taking it from somewhere else. Like terminating processes and services running in the background.
What keeps you from doing that to increase the performance permanently?

There is no magic "everything runs faster now" button. A well maintained system won't benefit as the Game Booster won't find much to terminate.
So, maintain your system properly and you don't need such snakeoil bloatware.

You can remove unnecessary process by yourself instead of adding questionable software.

I like it. It mostly just frees up your ram a little bit. A lot of software likes to run in the background and can take up ram and it basically stops it while you're gaming. It's not gonna make a huge difference unless you got a lot of software running in the background for some reason but it helps. I like the overlay. The CPU options are ok they do a tiny bit but don't have them on while overclocking your CPU it can mess with it because it can override the program you used to overclock. It's never hurt anything on my experience and was free.
Why not just download more ram from downloadmoreram.com? :steamfacepalm:
