Steam online multiplayer with someone with PS3?
can you play online multiplayer with steam on your computer with someone who uses Playstation 3?

Depends on the game. I think both the Final Fantasy MMO's are the ony two game that allow it.

Other then that, Sony and MS tend to lock companies out from making games like that.

Also, diffrences in the software. A FPS on a console usualy has an aim assist while the PC one doesn't. Witha FPS anyways, a Keyboard and Mouse player will almost always beat a controller. They would be on unequal terms.

Yes, you are correct. Portal 2 does have cross platform with the PC and PS3 (not X-Box) co-op. I never played it, so had to look it up.

Shadowrun did cross platform play with the PC and Xbox Live. Too bad the game wasn't that great.
