Steam & Big Picture as Windows 8 App
Big Picture is so much similar to windows 8 in style and with the tiles and all. There should just be an app that starts steam with big picture. It would also take care of the Windows 8 boot issues, and be more integrated-

There's a checkbox for starting steam in big picture mode and another one for starting when you log into Linux.
View->Settings->Interface
[_] Run Steam when my computer starts
[x] Start Steam in Big Picture Mode

It's there on all the operating systems, but it overrides the normal desktop. The point would be to have Big Picture open aswel as being able to use your desktop :)

The rumor is about with Apple and Netflix for multimedia purposes for mobile gaming like smartphone. Due competition in business profit not Bill Gate and Linux is costly expensive for Publisher.
