Steam Community Needs Age Verification
First of all, I would love to prove my concerns that I'll be talking about next, I needed public community informal api service but couldn't find any official one.
What I think is that we need an age verification system in the community section. Some games demand age verification because of their content, which has been carefully calculated or thoroughly investigated, yet the community does not have that.
The community is a public place where everybody can post, reply, or read. If you go to the community via a game’s play section, it will show any type of trending post about that game immediately on the screen.
In today’s world, AI can create basically any graphic content with or without moderation, so I deeply believe that these days the number of NSFW content items in the Steam Community has increased dramatically.

So I believe that an age verification system in the community would be helpful.
Thanks.

Also the number of posts created by AI have increased dramatically.

Try feeding it with something like
Create a post that politely states, that this thread is about age verification and mention an example why age verification is healthy for a gaming forum
and you'll see...

There's already a system for marking UGC in the same ways that games can be marked. ("Content Descriptors")

You can adjust your preferences here: https://store.steampowered.com/account/preferences/#MatureContentPreferences

I don't have any problem with nsfw content personally. I was just trying to point that without age verification on event of entering the community tab, basically could be another rule34 base on your screen without you been warned

Given that it's hidden by default and you have to explicitly opt into seeing sexual content, I don't think there's a risk of someone seeing something like that just by entering the community tab.
Community. is age free since Steam members need to be 13 years old.
OP are you saying Non Steam members are posting in the Community?

Steam Subscriber Agreement
Steam requires users to be at least 13 years old to create an account. This is because the platform is not intended for children under 13, and Valve will not knowingly collect personal information from them.
However, even for those 13 and older, parents are advised to use parental controls like Steam Family View to limit what content is accessible, as the platform has mature content and social features that require parental oversight.
