Devs need to say if they use an anti-cheat or not...

Hi guys,

-> I bought The Crew 2 few days ago
-> Offline mod added, low price, sound good, a lot of improvements

BUT ! What a surprise when I download and launche the game...

The game need BATTLEYE as an anti-cheat

BUT IT NEVER MENTIONNED NOWHERE ! And for me that's a problem....

I'm playing a lot of online games:

-> CCG card games (hey, it's great, don't judge ahah),
-> PoE II
-> GW 2 (not anymore Sadge),
-> TESO,
-> WOW (not anymore too),
-> Battlefront 2 (i'm bad but I do my best)

And they don't need an intrusive anti-cheat...

-> Devs should say on steam page If they use an anti-cheat
-> Even a not intrusive one, like Battlefrond 2 / The division
-> Its a 100% transparancy and it helps players like me

My point is:

-> I don't want to abuse with steam refund system because devs said nothing about an anti-cheat
-> I know some of new mmorpg (not online game !) need an anti-cheat (blue protocol, etc)
-> Even in that case, it's not added on steam page...
-> Some offline games with a multiplayer component have also an anti-cheat like Lord of the fallen (but it mentionned on steam page for this one)
-> And that's a problem too because a lot of games like LOTF don't mentionned any AC

Last point:

-> It's dumb for some people to ask that and I get it
-> I'm scared about an intrusive kernel anti-cheat even if 10m+ players has nothing..

Dunno is for you it's a good idea or not but it will be great for me

Additional Notes: Game contains BattlEye anti-cheat technology and VMProtect anti-piracy technology.

really anti cheat is just a money maker for cheaters. they shouldn't even bother with the anti cheat in games.

rather expect people are gonna cheat, expect everyone is cheating such as counterstrike, after a while those idiots who user cheats realize its extremely boring and they also realize hey suck an have zero skills without the cheats.

anti cheat is a bane on our privacy and really needs to be elimiated from very game.

there is not one single game that uses anti-cheat, that doesn't have a slue of cheaters who have already got around the anti-cheat.

all anti-cheat does is keep the noobs from leveling the playing field vs the cheaters.

Oh. You are right. Some games it's in yellow you know, when it said "need Ubisoft Account "
And not all game have this... Even on bottom page like you said (thanks for the tips tho)
